How to Create A Profile Page (Basic or Pro User)  

  1. These instructions are for a member who signed up for the Basic or Pro User level.

    If you are a different membership level please see below. 

  2. To see an example completed Pro Profile, see "Jeff's Tavern - EXAMPLE"  

  3. You will arrive at the Profile Page after you login




  4. The Top of the Profile Page shows that the profile is a certain percent complete.  In this case it is 25% complete.  This can be a helpful gauge to tell you if you need more details on your profile so it is optimally helpful for people searching for your business.




  5. CLICK on the <Basic Information> Button 




  6. The Basic Information Page shows general contact details of your business.  All information you enter here will be available to users except email.  



    • VERIFY "Best Describes You" which is the main category for your business.  You will complete the sub categories on the Additional Details Tab. 
      • If for some reason you need to change thet main category, you can always come back to change it.  This will give you new sub categories to choose from on the additional details tab.
    • VERIFY your email address.  This will not be available publically.

    • COMPLETE Short Description.  This is the short description about your business that shows up on search page before someone sees your profile.  Your are allowed 170 characters for this.  

      The "Short Description" is shown on the search page -- here's an example of this above.  

  7. SCROLL Further Down see more of the page.




    • VERIFY / ENTER your address 

    •  IMPORTANT:  If your address is incorrect or it is empty, if not ENTER IT where the arrow points, and the address below that should auto populate.  This is important so that the system can populate your location on a map if a customer chooses to search on on the TimsFord411 map.

  8. SCROLL further down




    • ENTER your website URL

    • ENTER any other social media channels you have that you would like displayed.

    • ONCE you are complete, CLICK <Save & Continue>


  9. This page allows you to upload three business photos:  Your profile photo, Profile logo, and a profile cover photo
    • The Profile LOGO should be at least 200x200 pixels in size (or more).  Upload this photo.
      •   The example photo below shows where the profile logo would show which is on the search page and your profile page.  The below photo is on the search page.

      • PRO PLAN ONLY:  The Profile Cover Photo is like a Hero Photo if you are farmiliar with that.  It extends the full page-width.  To see examples see "Jeff's Tavern - EXAMPLE"  and the Pro Plan Test User for where it goes and its location.

    • After you have uploaded photos, CLICK the <continue to next section> button at the bottom of the page.  (you can always come back to this also.)

    • You are now on the Additional Details Tab




    • On this page, you can SELECT up to 10 specialties / sub categories for your business. 
      • HOW THIS IS USED:  When a user / consumer searches for a particular business the system will show the specialties / categories that are being searched for.  By being in more search categories, it increases your visbility.

      • IMPORTANT:  Do not select categories that your business does not particpate in.  This will reduce trust by your consumers and is also not aligned with our Terms and Conditions. 
    • COMPLETE the remaining text fields and upload a brochure or menu if you have one.  (all optional)  Leaving any fields blank is fine.

    • CLICK <Save & Continue> at the bottom of the page

  10. You should be on the Last TAB:  About US
    • SEE the two example profiles to get a better understanding of what you can do.
    • This is a text based form to fill out.  but offers the abilty to place photos, use tables to separate items.  

    • ONE NOTE:  This page does not allow hyperlinks or websites.  If you do enter one, it is automatically removed.  For all hyperlinks, please enter those on the Basic Information TAB.

    • This page is a WYSIWYG editor -- it stands for "What You See Is What You Get"  -- in other words whatever is displaed here will show the same to customer / user.

    • This page can be both simple, or complex.  And you can always come back to edit it further. 
      • You can enter text, photos, and other features.  And continue to expand on this over time.

      • For example, if you know HTML, know a web programmer, or have an HTML writer, you can create your page in another location then copy the HTML here.  To do this, click on the "<>" to enter that.  The opportunities are broad.
